美國職業籃球(NBA)聖安東尼奧馬刺隊(San Antonio Spurs)3日宣布，將由哈蒙(Becky Hammon)擔任拉斯維加斯夏季聯賽的馬刺隊教頭，使她成為第一位在夏季聯賽執掌兵符的女教練。

夏季聯賽是NBA每年在選秀結束後不久，為進入聯盟3年以內的球員和新人舉行的聯賽。

2014年的NBA總冠軍馬刺隊是在去年8月聘請哈蒙擔任助理教練，協助馬刺總教練波波維奇(Gregg Popovich)，讓她成為第二位加入例行賽教練團的女性。

而哈蒙也是繼波伊爾(Lisa Boyer)以來，NBA首位女教練。不過，波伊爾2001年至2002年期間是以兼職身分，在克里夫蘭騎士隊(Cleveland Cavaliers)幫忙指導球隊練習；哈蒙則擔任全職教練。

哈蒙過去是美國女子職籃(Women National Basketball Association，WNBA)聖安東尼奧銀星隊(San Antonio Stars)球員。她在WNBA征戰16個球季，得分達聯盟史上第七高的5,809分；而1,687次助攻和445場出賽次數，也分別高居聯盟史上第四和第六高。
